Shift Shop breakfast with one of my girls!
If you asked me three years ago about eating healthy, I would have laughed in your face and ordered 3 or 4 desserts just to make my point that eating healthy would never be on my radar.
Why was I so resistant? Because my vision of eating healthy was one of miserable people eating only lettuce and cursing themselves every time they actually enjoyed their food. I refused to be that person.
I began coaching people because I wanted people to understand that one can still lead a healthy lifestyle while enjoying their favorite foods according to the portion size that matches their goals. It's about balance. My year in and return visits to France taught me that there is an amazing balance between delicious food as fuel (which is what I am doing now for the Shift Shop program), food as an art form to be experienced with great company. . .and wine (delicious tastes and textures), and health with my mind, body, and soul.
