Writing it all down. So far I've done this for 3 days. I dont go down the list because my gym is usually busy so I'd end up waiting when I could be working 💪 so I get in what I can then if I have to replace what is busy. .
I am so sore!!! I'm doing legs 3 days this week. Breaking it down to glutes, hammies and adductors, quads and abductors. All leg days have abs. .
Then 2 upper body days broke down to (shoulders, back, tricpes) and (back, biceps, and chest). All upper body days have cardio. Next week I will switch it up. Lets see how fit I can get!!!!
💥Is your “slow metabolism” stalling your weight loss?💥
People throw around phrases all the time about how they have a slow metabolism or that it's “broken.” Then they immediately get blood work done to check their thyroid and what have you. Sorry, but that should be the last thing you do unless you have already tried several methods already.
A few things to note, you have your totally daily energy expenditure (TDEE) and your resting metabolic rate (RMR). TDEE deals with RMR, thermic effect of food, and activity energy expenditure. RMR is what is needed just to keep your body alive. This can vary between individuals because it changes based on your size, your age, weight, etc. 〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰
We could literally spend hours talking about this subject, so I’ll make this short and sweet while still trying to make sense.. bare with me.
So the question is, “How can I increase my metabolism?!” (because it's oh so broken)
First, you need to get some apple cider vinegar, those weird raspberry pills, and something that looks like the world Cambodia…
HA jk, you just need to exercise. 〰〰〰〰〰〰〰
Best of all, the increase in metabolic activity from exercise can outlast your workout. Yep, that’s right. You burn calories after your workout, even sitting on the couch watching the Voice. EPOC can last for more than a day after you stop exercising. You see it all the time on Orange Theory windows. "Torch calories 48 hours after your workout"! They marketed the Shiznit out of that, and it worked. Being in cold temperatures can also raise your RMR, but that can be unsafe if it is improperly used and let's be honest, being cold sucks.
One last thing, your RMR can decrease as you age and from losing weight. Dieting causes good ol adaptive thermogenesis. So if you stall and don’t know why, it’s plausible you are doing the same thing week by week, and you need to either lower your calories more or add in more activity.
Well, I am stopping there for now because I have no more room. If you need further explanation, have questions, interested in a lengthy article explaining this, or want to troll, you can DM me directly 🙂 #iwearblackeveryday
