Made it to LA - tried to stay awake all day and failed miserably at every moment sleep was opportune; the car, the couch, standing up 😂
Nevertheless got in the 2nd Saturday session tonight.
When I finished my set of 10 x 6 Romanian deadlifts and was walking out of the room, this guy walks over and says "those deadlifts were RAD". This one small comment literally made my day.
Imagine if gyms were like that - a place where everyone felt accepted and uncomfortable. A place where people commended each other on their efforts. A place where intimidation didn't exist. If this were the case, I can guarantee you the majority of the population who aren't in there due to the above reasons would jump right in.
Who's with me on making an effort to give a smile or a small comment to a stranger who's working their ass off?
You never know - you could just change a life, or at least make a day. Like this guy did, mine ❤️

I drove through one of the scariest storms on the way home from the game (flash floods, couldn't see any lines) and something about storms makes me want to binge eat... (anyone else get this way?!) I made this plate instead of downing a whole pint. 🔸1/2 cookie dough @questnutrition bar - 2 SP
🔸86g @halotopcreamery smores - 3 SP
🔸FF whipped cream - free!

What it looks like to prep for the first in a series of three weeks of mindful nutrition. It's been a rocky time for consistent fitness and nutrition around here. Between the constant fatigue and the trips, backsliding has snowballed.

Who's ready to join in this ride and become stronger together?
